On October 29, 2020, the District of Columbia Zoning Commission voted unanimously on a final action to approve MILLER’s proposed residential development to be located at 2419 25th Street SE in Washington, D.C.
The five-story development will include 67 residential dwelling units designed for senior residents. In an effort to support the growing community, all 67 units will be dedicated as affordable housing. This new development, located near the new Skyland Town Center, will transform a vacant and underutilized lot, located on a prominent corner on 25th Street.
The unanimous vote of support from the Zoning Commission was the culmination of a year-long design and community engagement effort led by MILLER.
“This newly approved development is set to redefine the concept of accessible city living within the burgeoning Skyland neighborhood,” says Charles Struse, MILLER’s Director of Development. “We look forward to exceeding expectations by delivering high-quality housing with great design at an affordable price point.”
Expected completion of the project is 2023.
