Miller donates 52 laptops to skyland community in time for school year

September 8, 2020

As a through line of the company’s community-focused mandate, MILLER sought input from local citizens for their forthcoming urban infill development at 2419 25th Street SE—a forward-thinking project with an objective to provide affordable housing to seniors. It was throughout this process that MILLER learned of the community’s concerns in facilitating effective remote learning for some families, an unforeseen challenge resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an effort to alleviate these community needs, the MILLER team purchased and delivered 52 Lenovo 15.6” laptops in August 2020, equipping local K-12 students with high-quality technology in time for the start of the school year.

“At MILLER, our philosophy has never wavered from strengthening communities aesthetically, socially and economically with a long-term vision,” says Robert Miller, founder and principal. “During these challenging times, we are proud to be supporting the Skyland neighborhood where it really counts—in the classroom.”
