Despite a location near two Metro stations and an emerging neighborhood, this site was essentially unusable when MILLER acquired it, due to site complexities and challenges. MILLER worked with the right partners and D.C. agencies to find an appropriate use for the site, transforming it into a 112,000 square foot climate-controlled self-storage facility. The resulting storage structure is cost effective and efficient, yet architecturally complements the existing surroundings and considers the neighborhood’s growth potential. Current uses beyond self-storage include partnerships with creative groups on activations like projected movies, dance installations, and more.
